A method for processing data communication device radio frequency identification, RFID, the method comprising: measuring an energy level of a signal received RFID on a first communication channel (402); measuring an energy level of the received RFID signal on a second communication channel (404); characterized by selecting the communication channel with higher energy level; and obtaining data samples from the RFID signal received on the selected channel, wherein obtaining data samples from the RFID signal received on the selected channel includes applying a threshold value to determine a logic state of at least one of the samples data obtained.
