Caracterización Óptica De Nano Fluidos En Soluciones Iónicas Optical Characterization of Nano Ionic Fluid Solutions

2010
The photo induced electron transfer between nano particles and chlorophyll A and the 3, 5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-2-methoxyethane-pyrazol iodide compounds was studied. This system has potential use in electrochemistry, in the development of batteries, based on the generation of an electrical current induced by light. In this system, nano- particles are generated by the ablation laser method, when high power laser is shot in metal plates submerged in colorant in aqueous solution. Colloidal suspensions of nano particles are characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy and TEM methods, thus to determine their size and morphology. Electronic transference was evaluated through the fluorescence spectra of samples of different composition and concentration. Because a dependency of the amount of nano- particles and the morphology of them with respect to the concentration of the colorant- stabilizer exists, it could say that there is a noticeable influence of this parameter with respect to the intensity of fluorescent emission, that is interpreted like an inhibition of fluorescence, produced by the electronic transference of the excited states of the compound towards the gold nano-particles. The dominant process for this inhibition is given to the photo induced electron transference of excited compounds (Chlorophyll A and 3, 5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-2-methoxyethane-pyrazol iodide) towards gold nano- particles.
