Procedure microbial decontamination of milk or whey by deionization. Process for microbial decontamination of milk or whey by deionization through a semipermeable membrane without the physicochemical, nutritional, organoleptic properties and bioactive natural products are altered. The method has application in sectors of the food industry which require a pasteurization method nonthermal, particularly in the processing industry milk products.
