Method for preparing core-shell-structure powered ink by suspension polymerization and emulsion agglutination combined process

2014
The invention relates to a method for preparing core-shell-structure powered ink by a suspension polymerization and emulsion agglutination combined process. The method includes steps of respectively preparing monomer oil phase and water phase dispersion liquid constituting soft-core powdered ink particles; preparing high-Tg shell emulsion containing charge control agent by miniemulsion polymerization; using high-speed emulsifying blending, shearing and pelleting, heating-triggered polymerization to obtain low-Tg soft-core powdered ink particles containing monomers, pigment and wax; agglutinating shell emulsion to wrap suspending core particles by the emulsion agglutination, and heating and melting to obtain right-spherical powdered ink particles; after successive treatment, finally generating the core-shell-structure powdered ink. By the method, the shell resin emulsion particles of the powdered ink can be uniformly agglutinated on the surface of spherical powdered ink core particles, good sphericity is realized, the thickness of the shell layer of the powdered ink can be adjusted by controlling addition amount of shell resin emulsion, and high- and low-temperature photographic fixing and storage stability as well as high electric quantity and transfer efficiency are improved. In addition, the degree of freedom in performance design of the powdered ink is greatly increased.
