Absorptance of thermal radiation by cryodeposit layers.

1966
The problems associated with the presence of condensed gases on low-temperature surfaces are receiving much attention in connection with basic studies of cryopumping, simulation of the solar space environment, and the storage of cryogenic fluids. Atgthis laboratory, a general program of inquiry is being pursued into the optical properties of low-temperature surfaces. As part of that program, the transport of energy within a cryodeposit layer which is subjected to thermal radiation was investigated.
