A composite ZnS thin film powder electroluminescent panel

Abstract Some properties of a new composite electroluminescent panel, involving a thin film of Mn-doped ZnS and a layer of ZnS powder, are reported. This bilaminar structure can eliminate the high current ‘forming’, associated with powder panels, and avoid the catastrophic breakdown associated with thin films.
