Tumorassoziationen beim malignen Melanom

1997
Of 9034 patients with primary cutaneous malignant melanomas 1167 (516 men, 651 women) developed 1331 further tumours, 312 of them multiple malignant melanomas. Simultaneous multiple melanomas were observed in 151 cases, successive in 141. In 20, the relation was not clear (for example: preexistent, but not previously recognized lesions). 7 patients had both skin- and uveal melanomas. 58% of all patients with melanoma and dysplastic nevi developed more than one melanoma before the age of 50. In 621 patients, further cutaneous tumours had to be treated (for example: 459 patients with, sometimes multiple, basal cell carcinomas, 162 with prickle cell carcinomas). 397 patients had malignant tumours of other organs (for example: 104 breast cancers). The incidence of nonmelanocytic tumours in melanoma patients is comparable to their general occurrence.
