Method and network entity for sending public warning system secret key message to terminal

A method and network entity for sending a Public Warning System (PWS) secret key message to a terminal in a wireless communication system, wherein one method comprises: the network entity sending the PWS secret key message to the terminal during the process that the terminal attaches to a network, the other method comprises: the network entity sending the PWS secret key message to the terminal during the process that a security mode command (SMC) between the terminal and the network is implemented, and the network entity comprises a PWS secret key storage module, which is set as: storing the PWS secret key message; a PWS secret key sending module, which is set as: sending the PWS secret key message to the terminal. With the present invention, in the wireless communication system, the PWS secret key message may be sent to the terminal to save, and later, a PWS warning message may be used to implement security authentication by using the stored PWS secret key after the terminal receives the PWS warning message sent by the network.
