National Dioxin Study Tier 4 - combustion sources: project summary report. Final report

This report presents the Agency's finding on the assessment of dioxin emissions from combustion sources under Tier 4 of the National Dioxin Strategy. The primary objectives of Tier 4 are outlined in the report. The report describes the information of the Agency collected at the request of Congress to improve the current understanding of combustion sources that emit dioxin to the ambient air. The report finds that small amounts of chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans are emitted from many combustion sources, with only a few sources emitting larger amounts.
