Preparation of hydrophobic coating and evaluation method for hydrophobicity

The invention relates to preparation of a hydrophobic coating and an evaluation method for hydrophobicity. The preparation of the hydrophobic coating comprises the following steps: preparation of a priming paint; coating of the priming paint; and coating of a finishing paint. The evaluation method for hydrophobicity of the hydrophobic coating comprises the following steps: measuring the heights of water drops; measuring the diameters of water drops; calculating hydrophobic angles according to the heights and diameters; implementing the above-mentioned three steps on three test pieces, at least three times one each test piece; and taking the arithmetic mean value of results of the at least three times of determination as a final result, wherein hydrophobicity of a prepared hydrophobic coating with a hydrophobic angle of no less than 95 DEG is qualified. According to the invention, the hydrophobic coating is specially used for engine parts and exerts protection and shunting effect on the front parts of engines; components of the hydrophobic coating are designed and a formula for the hydrophobic coating is determined; and a preparation method and hydrophobicity evaluation method are provided for the hydrophobic coating.
