1D, nano-dimensional pore and square grid metal-organic polymers based on 4,4′-oxybisbenzoate; synthesis, characterization, and thermal properties

Three new zinc(II) coordination polymers, [Zn(imi)2( -oba)] n ·nH2O (1), [Zn(2,2′-bipy)( -oba)(H2O)] n ·nH2O (2), and [Zn2(4,4′-bipy)( -oba)2(H2O)2(DMF)2] n ·nDMF (3) (oba = 4,4′-oxybisbenzoate, imi = imidazole), have been synthesized and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography and FT-IR spectroscopy. The coordination polymers 1–3 have 1D, nano-dimensional pore and square grid structures. The thermal stabilities of 1–3 were studied by thermal gravimetric and differential thermal analysis.
