AN ASSESSMENT OF THE Fe-MO SYSTEM

The Fe-Mo phase diagram and the thermodynamic properties of Fe-MO alloys have been evaluated from experimental information using thermodynamic models for the individual phases. The bee phase was described with a model taking the strong magnetic effect into account. Three of the intermetallic phases were described with a three-sublattice model, allowing the width of the one-phase fields to be accounted for. The agreement between experimental data and calculated values is satisfactory.
