Discovery of the 2.5-billion-bbl Cusiana field in the Llanos Thrust Front by BP has, once again, focused explorationists' attention on Colombia. No doubt the field's size merits interest, but it is not the first giant found in Colombia, and it will not be the last. In this article, an overview is presented current petroleum activity and exploration opportunities in Colombia, with the possible discovery of another giant field as a reward for future exploration efforts.
