Right ventricular myocardial protection through intracavitary cooling in cardiac operations
1989
In an attempt to improve the level of hypothermia of the right side of the heart, we developed a closed cooling system that permits continuous circulation of cold saline solution through a specially designed double-lumen, balloon-tipped catheter positioned into the right ventricular cavity-the right ventricular cooling catheter system
