Steam raising unit for a thermal power plant

1977
This heat exchanger can be used for a steam raising unit with forced steam circulation and output above 300MW. In principle, it contains a boiler and a closed heating flue connected to it. Part of the heating flue is made as a cooling chamber for the heated gases. The flow ducts for the heated gases are brought into close contact with the cooling chamber by curved tube walls. Each tube wall consists of wholly welded sets of tubes, whose tubes run parallel to each other. Each set of tubes is bent several times. Adjacent sets of tubes are connected at the top of these bends. This forms a rigid construction of high strength and high efficiency.
