Characteristics and Geographical Distribution of Yunnan Rice Resources VI. Study on Distribution Diversity of Rice Blast Resistance Germplasm

Based on the climatic types and rice regions of Yunnan,diversities of 4763 accessions seedling blast resistance,4420 accessions leaf blast resistance and 4251 accessions panicle blast resisitance were analyzed with the technique GIS and BioDiversity.The result shows that:(i)Climatic types made remarkable functions to diversity of rice blast resisitant.(ii)It presented high diversity of panicle blast resistance in tropical zone and lower diversity in temperate zone.The diversity decreased with the increasing of altitude and the reduction of temperature and increased in the other way.The diversity of rice blast resistance were mainly concentrated in the south,medium and north subtropics.(iii)The diversity and type of rice germplasm was correlated.It presented high diversity when rice germplasm type various in a rice region.The results obtained in this study provide evidence for improvement of rice blast resistance by the diversity.289 elite varieties for rice blast resistance were identified in this research.
