Demonstration of Glycogen in Neutrophils Using a PAS-Dimedone Technique

A histochemical method for the extremely accurate demonstration of glycogen in neutrophils is described. This technique combines the periodic acid-Schiff procedure with the aldehyde blocking reagent, Dimedone. The method appears to be superior to that using the conventional periodic acid- Schiff stain.
