Body Surface Potential Mapping in Conduction Abnormalities

1986
The pathology, pathophysiology, mechanisms and diagnostic parameters related to ventricular conduction abnormalities have been studied for more than half a century. But in the past decade, newer experimental data, as well as improved surface techniques, have revealed that the field is once again in its infancyof the most important areas of work was by Dr. Mauricio Rosenbaum1–3, who attempted to make specific electrocardiographic conduction defect diagnoses based upon snecific anatomical abnormalities. Although his techniques did not allow complete success, his classification of abnormalities has proved to be very useful. We have modified his 11 point schema into a 17 point classification.
