Advances in structured stair nesting

In the classical step nesting at each step only for one factor there is branching. Thus the number of treatments is the sum and not the product of the number of active levels. These correspond to the branching procedure. Good estimators were obtained for the variance components of these models. We now extend the theory structuring the previous factors so they are replaced by the treatments of sub-models.
