The present invention provides a high luminescence quantum efficiency (Ba1-z, Srz) 3MgSi2O8: Eu2 + phosphor type. Specifically, the present invention provides a phosphor comprising (Ba1-z, Srz) 3MgSi2O8 type crystal (O≤z <1) and (Ba1-z, Srz) MgSiO4 type crystal as a host crystal, and containing Eu2 + as blue light emitting center.
