Scattering Analysis for Eccentric-Sphere Model of Single-Nuclear Cell

2011
According to the morphology of leukocyte, the eccentric-sphere (ES) model is proposed to replace the class of single-nuclear cell. The amplitude function is revised based on the geometrical-optics theory of light scattering. The results of simulation demonstrate that the light scattering intensity dramatically fluctuates with the change in scattering angle and is dominant in the forward scattering angle, while the polarization is dominant in the backward scattering angle. Moreover the scattering intensity relates with the position of nucleus. These results are evidently improved compared to that from the single sphere model.
