2006
Taxus chinensis var.mairei is an endemic to China, being one of the protected one-grade rare and endangered plants of China. The distribution region of T.mairei is located in the hills of the southern tip of Taihang Ranges and the eastern of Zhongtiao Ranges in Shanxi,110°31′~112°31′E,35°12′~36°12′N.There are 886 species of seed plants, belonging to 391 genera and 110 families in the region, among which gymnosperms have 4 families,7 genera and 9 species, and angiosperms have 106 families,384 genera and 877 species. The angiosperms are composed of dicotyledon and monocotyledon, having 95 families,335 genera and 751 species, and 11 families,49 genera and 126 species, respectively. The flora of genera in the region of T.mairei has some typical characteristics of warm-temperate deciduous broad-leave forest.Among them, temperate distribution elements, having 232 genera and accounting for 66.67 % in total genera(excluding cosmopolitan),make significant dominant. Moreover, among the floristic elements of species, the endemics to China have 331 species, accounting for 38.05 % in total species, and makes evidently dominant. They are the major elements of the edificatos and dominant species of dominant vegetation types.
