The Research on the Influence of Position Errors on the Angular Errors, Straightness Errors and Perpendicularity Errors

With the development of science and progress of manufacturing industry, there is a growing demand toward precision machining. The accuracy of CNC machine tools is an important factor affecting machining accuracy, therefore, in order to further improve the machining accuracy of parts, this paper takes Y-axis position error compensation as an example to study the influence of position error compensation on angular errors, perpendicularity error and straightness errors in three-axis CNC vertical machining center. The data of geometric errors before and after position error compensation are obtained by using laser interferometer and ball bar, and the experimental date are analyzed and compared. The research shows that the angle error and straightness error of geometric error are improved after the position error is compensated. However, the compensation of the position errors has little effect on the perpendicularity errors of the machine tool. There is no report on this result, and further research will be followed up.
