The present invention relates to a receiving container (1) for a working in an ultra high vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere of high purity gas detector (100), with a receiving part (3) forms at least a part of the receiving space (7) for the detector (100) and a lid (5) for air-tight sealing of the receiving space (7). On the receiving part (3) a first sealing surface (13) and to the lid (5) is arranged adapted one to the first sealing surface (13), second sealing surface (17). Between the sealing surfaces (13, 17) is arranged a seal (19). A securing device (23) pushes the lid (5) for providing a defined contact pressure of the seal (19) against the receiving part (3).
