The opportunities presented by the National Affordable Housing Agreement (NAHA) propelled the South Australian Homelessness Strategy Unit to implement a range of reforms that built on existing strengths of the specialist homelessness services (SHS) sector. As a major contribution to homelessness service system reform, South Australia (SA) took the decisive step of considering accompanying children as clients of SHS with their own particular needs to be addressed.
