The present invention relates to a process for the synthesis of 3,3'-dimethyl-4,4'-diamino-dicyclohexylmethane (the MACM), comprising: to 3,3'-dimethyl-4,4'- diaminodiphenyl methane (MDT) as a starting material, the product obtained by catalytic hydrogenation MACM, the first product isomer and MACM formula I is occupied content of less than or equal to 26wt%. The present invention also provides a corresponding plurality of isomer composition, the composition ratio of the first isomer constitutes the MACM specific products. Preferably a noble metal catalyst used in the reaction and adding an alkaline earth metal promoter; reaction temperature is preferably 50 ~ 150 ℃, the reaction pressure is 8-30MPa, the reaction time is 3 to 50 hours. The present invention can be prepared at a low temperature and pressure MACM, short reaction time, mild conditions, simple process; MACM resulting product has a low freezing point, conducive to the production, storage and use of the product, and improve the quality of downstream products.
