The suitability of a lightweight aggregate (Aglite) for structural concrete

Summary This paper gives the results of tests on Aglite concrete to establish its tensile and compressive strengths, its absorption and permeability characteristics, and the behaviour and ultimate strength of reinforced beams in shear and flexure. Throughout the work, the values obtained were compared with those for a gravel concrete having the same 28-day compressive strength.
