Regioselective 2′-O-debenzoylation of 2',3'-di-O-benzoyl threose nucleosides

Abstract A simple and convenient procedure for the regioselective 2′- O -debenzoylation of 2',3'-di- O -benzoyl threose nucleosides has been achieved successfully affording 3′- O -benzoyl threose nucleosides, which are useful starting material synthons for the synthesis of modified threose nucleosides for different purposes.
