Accurate use of laboratory tests in rheumatic diseases

: Because of the obvious limitations of various tests, they are diagnostically useful only when combined with a careful history, physical examination, and knowledge of the disease under consideration. Blind allegiance to or isolated use of such tests for diagnosis is treacherous and misleading.
