Digital video recorder having a internet phone and communicating method thereof

PURPOSE: A DVR(Digital Video Recorder) mounted with an Internet phone is provided to enable a voice call between DVRs located in different places by using an Internet phone, thereby performing an emergency voice call in almost real time when an alarm is generated owing to an emergency between a DVR and a network. CONSTITUTION: A video camera(40) interworked with a sensor(10) automatically transmits a high-speed image to a remote workstation(60) with an alarm event, and displays the high-speed image on a screen. While the image is transmitted to the remote workstation(60), if a handset of an Internet phone(70) connected to the remote workstation(60) is picked up, a dial tone is immediately rung to an Internet phone(20) of a DVR(30).
