Research on Performance of Constant Temperature Asphalt and its Application in Maintenance and Repair of Asphalt Pavements

A new asphalt,constant-temperature asphalt,for maintenance and repair of asphalt pavements is introduced.This paper studies its needle penetration,softening point,ductility,viscosity and aging performance indicators as well as performance of its mixtures,and also the factors influencing performance and strength increase of constant temperature asphalt mixtures through tests.The application on test roads indicates that the pavements repaired by constant temperature asphalt mixtures exhibit good high-temperature stability,perfect technical road performance and simple construction technology,so the constant temperature asphalt is especially applicable to local repair of pavements.
