IMS operation support system and method

The invention relates to an IMS operation support system and a method. The method includes the generation flow of an IMS product and the activation flow of the IMS service; in the generation flow of the IMS product, the basic IMS service can be used to develop new IMS service; the method can provide service with different qualities for the products with different Qos grades and manage the IMS service orders related to the IMS products respectively so that different charging strategies are adopted for different IMS services. The invention provides a system frame of an available end-to-end IMS operation support system and the method, and proposes corresponding flows, aiming at the production generation, the service activation, the application and the charging process in the IMS operation process; according to each IMS service, the operation support system in the invention supports the Qos grade by grade mapping from the product to the network resources; thereby, the user is guaranteed to be supplied with high quality service from end to end.
