Study of {pi}{pi} transitions from the {Upsilon}(3S) state

Using about 230 pb{sup {minus}1} data accumulated at the {Upsilon}(3S) resonance at CESR with the CUSB-II detector, the authors have investigated the exclusive decay {Upsilon}(3S) {r_arrow}{Upsilon}(2S){pi}{pi} and {Upsilon}(3S) {r_arrow} {Upsilon}(1S){pi}{pi}, where the daughter state {Upsilon}(2S) and {Upsilon}(1S) decay to a pair of leptons. They present results on the branching ratios and properties of {pi}{pi} system. The invariant mass spectra of {pi}{pi} have been measured and compared with several theoretical models.
