The data on cholera outbreak in Kazan are presented. A was total 52 patients with cholera and 18 vibriocarriers were observed. The disease caused by the El-Tor Ogava vibrio. The infection by vibrio took place through dirty water in Azino reservoir in 76,9% of persons during swimming, by contact way in family foci in 23,1%. The disease course was mostly mild (in 69,3%), moderately severe (in 23%) and severe (in 7,7%), children aged up to 14 were 54,4%, aged 15 to 19 16,2%. The diagnosis was confirmed by secretion of El-Tor Ogava cholera vibrio. The treatment was combined etiotropic taking into account sensitivity of the vibrio to antibiotics and chemical preparations. Pathogenetic oral rehydration was carried out in 43% of persons, mixed (parenteral-oral) rehydration in 27%.
