Poorest people are more likely to die in hospital

People on low incomes are more likely to die in hospital than are the richest people, a report on care at the end of life in England has shown. The report, published by the National End of Life Care Intelligence Network, found that 62% of the most deprived fifth of the population and 55% of the most affluent fifth die in hospital.
