Producción del lechón con tres niveles de adición al agua de un saborizante a base de estevia

2014
Weaning piglets in pork production is a critical transitional stage due to, new handling, environment adaptation and dietary changes, which can affect feed consumption, hence to ensure proper food intake flavoring additives are normally used. The aim of the present trial was to evaluate the effect of adding four levels of flavoring agent solution (Stevia) in drinking water on newly weaned piglet productivity. Under a completely randomized design using 120 piglets under commercial production conditions, with two repetitions (15 piglets each) per treatment, were used to evaluate four levels on a flavoring agent in water (0, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 milliliter /liter). Increasing the levels of a flavoring additive augmented the final weight from 7.75 to 8.03 for 1.5 milliliters (P 0.05), but the feed to gain ratio was reduced (P 0.05), pero la conversion de alimento se redujo (P < 0.05). Concluyendo que usar saborizante tiene efectos positivos en ganancia y conversion. Palabras clave—Cerdos, destete, consumo de agua, saborizante estevia.
