The normal structure of hyperbolic unitary groups

In this thesis we give a description of all subgroups of the hyperbolic unitary group which are normalized by the elementary subgroup. To obtain this description we use ideas taken from the context of topological groups. The main result generalizes earlier results by A. Bak and H. You.
