Impact of organizational citizenship behaviour and perceived organizational support on employees of higher educational institutions and industries

This research was conducted on the 302 teaching faculty, 217 Managers, Engineers and Officers working in various factories within the Mangalore and Udupi The tool used for collecting the data included Podssakoff scale for organizational citizenship behavior and Eisenberger scale for perceived support in an organization. A well-structured questionnaire was developed based on five point Likert scale. The collected was analyzed using SPSS software. The results obtained highlighted the reliabilities of the two scales 0.8022 and 0.6869 respectively for both institution and industries. In this this study organizational citizenship behaviour very strongly followed than Perceived organizational support. But in industries Perceived organizational support is very strongly followed, having Cronbach’s alpha 0.7261 compare to institutions 0.6581.
