Method and apparatus for controlling uplink transmission power in wireless communication system

PURPOSE: An apparatus for efficiently controlling uplink transmission power in a wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to determine power control value by establishing a target SNR(Signal to Noise Raito) due to a downlink path loss of a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A base station estimates DL(DownLink) path loss(100). The base station determines the target SNR due to the downlink path loss(102). The base station determines power control quantity in order to compensate difference between the target SNR and the estimated SNR(104). The base station transmits power control message including TPC(Transmit Power Control) command value based on the power control value(106).
