Flashlight comprising a light source

The present invention relates to a flashlight having an optic (1) and a light source which consists of at least a converter region with a luminescent substance (2) which is irradiated in the operating state in such a way by a laser (3) that the luminescent substance (2) incoherent light emitted from said optical system (1) is radiated as light cone. In order to expand the scope of such flashlights, the invention provides that a selectable positioning of the converter region with respect to the optical system (1) allows a focusing or defocusing of the light beam.
