Research on Co-evolution Between Organization and Environment——Take the Toyota Motor Company for Example

With organization environment worsening,co-evolution theory is becoming the hot issues.However,shortage of cases and empirical study causes to this theory still can not effectively guide the practice of enterprise.Based on the co-evolution perspective,this paper deeply analyzed the relationship between the organization and environment,taking the Toyota motor company for example.Research is developed along three basic dimensions," organization environment-organization strategy-organization system".Among them,environment dimension mainly includes technology environment,market environment and cultural environment.Strategy dimension emphasizes on alliance strategy and perfect combination of low cost and differentiation strategy.Organization system dimension is concerned with the vertical series system that takes mutual holdings and asset specificity for management mechanism,the sub-contracting system for the characteristic,and the Lean production system that takes just-in-time production system,high productivity and multitasking capability,flexible production system,overall quality control ability for the characteristic.The purpose is to put forward the beneficial reference for domestic enterprises about how to choose and grasp the dynamic relationship of the enterprise and environment,and improve the ability to cope with the environmental changes.
