[Effects of exogenous nitric oxide, salicylic acid and hydrogen peroxide on free amino acid and soluble protein contents in tobacco leaves].

2006
The work focused on the effects of sig-nal molecules of nitric oxide (NO), salicylic acid(SA) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) on compoundsof nitric metabolites of free amino acid, solubleprotein and proline in tobacco. The results indi-cated that NO, SA and H2O2 were able to regulatethe proline, free amino acid and soluble proteincontent in tobacco (Figs.1–3). Lower concentra-tion of NO and H2O2 raised the level of proline;while higher concentration of NO and H2O2 low-ered the proline (Fig.2A, C), free amino acid con-tent in tobacco (Fig.1A, C). The above three sig-nal molecules also showed similar effects onproline, free amino acid and soluble protein con-tent in tobacco (Figs.1–3).
