Effect of Pb stress on rape physiology.

2010
To explore the physiological effect of lead(Pb) stress on rape(Brassica napus L.),the seed viability, membrane permeability, the content of proline and malondialdehyde(MDA),and changes in the activity of antioxidant enzymes such as peroxidase(POD) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) in the seedlings were investigated. The results showed the seed viability reduced and membrane permeability, contents of proline and malondialdehyde(MDA) increased with increasing Pb concentration. The activity of POD and SOD was enhanced with increasing Pb concentration to a certain extent.
