The expression of Nogo-A and NgR after chronic cerebral ischemia in rats

Objective To explore the dynamic changes of Nogo-A and NgR expressions in the hippocampus after chronic cerebral ischemic in rats.Methods The rats were divided into four groups at random:sham operated group,model groups of 15 days, 30 days and 60 days.The chronic cerebral ischemia models were produced by permanent occlusion of bilateral common carotid arteries.All of the rats were trained in Morris Water Maze to find the changes of ethology.The expression of Nogo-A and NgR were measured by immunohistochemical technique.Reults The expressions of Nogo-A and NgR in model group were significantly higher than those of sham operated group,which was accordant with the improvement of ethology.Conclusion The higher expression of Nogo-A and NgR after chronic cerebral ischemia may play an important role in the nerve regeneration in rats.
