KOAH tanısı ile izlenen bireyin Orem’in Öz Bakım Yetersizlik Kuramı’na göre bakımı (olgu sunumu)

COPD is an irreversible and progressive disease that cannot be completely cured. COPD is an important health problem due to high morbidity and mortality, being affected by environmental factors, occupational characteristics and habits, high cost and different complications that may develop. The nurse plays an important role in health protection / development, disease prevention / control, adaptation and management. According to Orem, nursing is a service provided to people who need help or guidance in line with scientific knowledge. This case report was made for a 68-year-old patient with a diagnosis of COPD. It was carried out to determine the effect of the patient on self-care agency by collecting data, planning, and evaluating using Orem’s Self-Care Insufficiency Model Orem’s self-care requirements model was categorized into 3 subgroups. Nursing diagnoses were made and interventions were planned. As a result of the study, it is seen that the care given according to Orem’s Self Care Insufficiency Model is effective in making the necessary changes in the way of life to protect and improve the health of the individual diagnosed with COPD.
