Territorial actors mobilize instruments to get coordinate, create objects and common projects. The territorial governance as a participative process of the sets of the actors helps in the definition of how to intervene the spaces, which is a major challenge at the moment of mobilize these instruments. This should allow, in first place, to create or fabricate a common language. The GIS can play this role, of intermediary object in order to get a central function in the coordination and co-construction of process and territorial actions. This article analyze the apprenticeships obtained from the utilization of the GIS as a language and a common vision for the planning of the production activities of the Cooperative of Producers of Quinoa in central Chile. The objective of the cooperative was to reintroduce and boost the quinoa in the region. The principals’ results show that in the case of the participative methodologies, the GIS elaborated within the project, allowed to know the spatial distribution of the production, it facilitated the identification of the experimental plots and meteorological stations and allowed the creation of a common language. Currently the GIS are contributing at the fabrication of a common vision, therefore it is an intermediary object.
