Packaging method and apparatus for line elements

A packaging device for line elements is characterized in that a defined length is formed on a separate winding tube in a synchronized, continuous process from a flat metal strip, in which the tape layers are joined together in the end regions by a joining operation. The apparatus and method described eliminate WIP and based on the Lean thinking of the one-piece-flow. The two known in the art, sequential process steps of "generation of the winding tube in long lengths" and "separating on final length" are integrated thereby and synchronized.
