A Modified High-Clearance Sprayer for Plot Use

1965
Commercial, high-clearance, self-propelled sprayers are well adapted for applying insecticides to many field crops, and with certain modifications these machines can be used efficiently in experimental plots. Several sprayer modifications have been used at this station, including one similar to that described by Wilkes and Walker (1961). The major disadvantage of this and most other modifications is that once modified, the sprayer cannot be readily used for conventional spraying or on large-scale field plots.
