DIELECTRIC RELAXATION BEHAVIOUR OF ACRYLONITRILE AND 2-ACRYLAMIDO 2-METHYLE PROPANE SULPHONIC ACID (AN-AMPS) COPOLYMERS

2011
Acrylonitrile based copolymers have become the materials of considerable interest in recent years owing to their technological importance. The study of dielectric behaviour helps in understanding the type of molecular interactions. This paper reports the dielectric relaxation behaviour of acrylonitrile and 2-acrylamido 2-methyle propane sulphonic acid (AN-AMPS) copolymers from the measurements of dielectric constant (e)and loss(tanδ) as a function of frequency , from 100Hz -100kHz and temperature, from room temperature to 180 o C i.e., beyond the glass transition temperature(119 o C). The results are discussed in the light of relaxation peaks
