Recording Of Human Eating Behavior

1990
This paper presents the design and development of two systems to collect data on eating behavior of lean and obese humans under laboratory as well as free-living conditions. The first system integrates PCbased data collection software, oral sensors, food box entry sensors, and an interactive query process, into a versatile laboratory setup. The second system consists of a shirt-pocket sized intelligent solidstate recorder and sensor (s) that collect data on free-living eating behavior for time periods up to 24 hours.
